Work-Shop NR Launch Pics!

Massive thanks to everyone who came to the Work-Shop Northern Rivers Launch, we’re off to a great start!

It was a perfect spring afternoon, and we were treated to spectacular cocktails by Trolley’d, cold beers from Stone & Wood and entertained with creative collage badge making by Jesse from House of M, Justin (aka Julla) did a fantastic live piece during the afternoon and there was even a bit of live screen printing by me

The Brisbane and Sydney Work-Shop crew were here to help their newest sibling get off the ground and it was rad to introduce these guys to the local area and everything we love about Creative Northern Rivers!

Saturday saw classes start in earnest and we held a Cyanotype Print class with local Photographer Rai DeWeerdt – in this class participants make images using a photosensitive emulsion coated on paper, using shadows from objects the prints are exposed in the sun…

In the afternoon we held our first Sugar Skulls & Stitches Embroidery class with Mia from Miz-Fits Embroidery Kits where students learnt different stitches and how to transfer an original image to their fabric and then complete it in bright and bold colour-ways…

We’ve got more classes coming all the time, including Life Drawing, Leather-work and Illustration so keep an eye on our What’s On Calendar – or better yet just head over to and click on the Northern Rivers tab. If you’ve got a great skill or creative talent you want to share and you’re interested in teaching a class, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!
