The creative sessions are short introductory workshops designed to provide all levels of experience with valuable and applicable skills to expand and further their own creative practice or discover their creativity.

Creative Sessions Workshop Program – APRIL/MAY 2015

Photography

6pm – 9pm TUESDAY nights – over 4 weeks

April 14th, 21st, 28th and May 5th


 

 

This course is the first step of an exploration of photography in the digital age. Students are introduced to the art and craft of still photography and the tools necessary to refine their photographs through the use image manipulation software. Students need no significant experience in photography or related software.

 

This course brings everyone to the same level very quickly, beginning with the fundamentals and filling the inevitable gaps in understanding of those who have some prior knowledge. This is a hands on course and students can expect to exit the course with a small but significant folio of digital photographs and a greater understanding and appreciation of the medium.

  • Light, lenses and composition.
  • Using Photoshop and or Gimp.
  • The history of photography.

Raimond de Weerdt is a photographer with extensive teaching experience spanning over fifteen years. His classes are fun, informative and easy to follow. Raimond has worked as a photographer in London, Amsterdam and Sydney. He has exhibited his photographs widely and his work can be found in both public and private collections both here in Australia and overseas.
