Participants joined local Printmakers Joanna Kambourian & Darren Bryant in a day of fun, chaotic and very experimental printmaking, learning the basics of Kitchen Lithography.

Lithography is a beautiful traditional printing process, which uses often hazardous and expensive materials. Kitchen Litho presents a non-toxic simple and accessible alternative to traditional lithography using products found in the home.

It mirrors the process of traditional lithography in it’s ability to print directly from hand drawn plates, enabling the artist to produce editioned works from hand made marks.

It is a chaotic and often very experiemental process and results can vary widely, depending on a number of factors…
