To celebrate the launch of Bizoo’s final release: The Best, The Worst and the Trash That Never Made It', the crew behind Bizoo Zine invites you to a free CULT-ure Map zine workshop at the Lismore Art Space, January 5 2014. Jeremy Staples and Eloise Quinlivan are spreading the word and launching the book via a 12 date tour taking in Lismore to Wollongong then inland to Dubbo via workshops and events throughout January. Lismore Art Space is totally stoked to be supporting and participating in collaboration with Bizoo as they begin their 12 date tour here in Lismore!

Last week I travelled up to Brisbane to attend the Creative3 forum held at QUT. An incredibly valuable day spent absorbing the knowledge from some fantastic speakers, including Lisa Messenger, Rick Chen , Jess Huddart...to name but a few. So much was packed into the day, and I am still filtering the experience, but a few key points really stuck with me and I would love to share them with you as they pertain so closely to what the Lismore Art Space is all about.

We are really pleased to be working together with the Lismore Regional Galleries Offsite project for Splendour in the Grass this year by providing a work space for artist Bennett Miller while he works on his BARNRAISER project which will take place at the new Splendour Site outside Byron Bay.

Lismore Art Space resident Ms Browns Lounge was a recent stallholder at the Musuem of Contemporary Art Sydney's 2013 Zine Fair. In conjunction with Sydney Writers’ Festival, the MCA hosts a one-day festival dedicated to Sydney’s boutique zine makers. The limited run publications are often handmade and self-published. As a printmaker and graphic designer, I have a total love for zines and wanted to represent printmakers and artists from the North Coast of NSW and SE QLD who were making zines.
